Introduction: We provided components made of plywood, cut with a plotter, and POM parts for the creation of an interactive floating balls exhibit. A total of 18 exhibits were built using our components. The exhibit features air tubes, similar to those in vacuum cleaners, which blow air and allow balls to appear as if they are levitating when the air stream is directed properly.
Challenge: Crafting precise components from plywood and POM material that would enable the exhibit to function as intended, creating a visually engaging experience for visitors with the illusion of levitating balls.
Solution: Our team utilized a plotter to cut the plywood components with high precision and produced the required POM elements for the exhibit. This attention to detail ensured the air tubes and other components worked together seamlessly to create the desired levitating effect.
Result: The floating balls exhibit offers a captivating experience for visitors as they manipulate the air stream to make the balls appear to levitate in mid-air. With the proper direction of the air flow, visitors can keep the balls suspended in place, creating a fascinating display of physics in action.
